We all know that Jesus was a Healer during HIS earth walk, but did you know that HE is the same today? When the LORD was taken up into Heaven two angels appeared to the disciples saying, "THIS SAME JESUS, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven." The Apostle Pete, who heard this angelic proclamation, said that "God hath made THAT SAME JESUS...both Lord and Christ." Finally the Book of Hebrews declares that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and to day, and for eve!
If you believe that the Jesus of the Bible was a Healer, and you believe that HE has been raised from the dead, then I have good news for you. THIS SAME JESUS Who healed on the shores of Galilee will heal on the shores of Italy, Florida, Australia, or anywhere else that people put their faith in HIM! Jesus is still the Healer!
What will Jesus heal? GOD said through the prophet Jeremiah," I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there anything so hard that I am unable to do it?" Jesus said, "With people it is impossible, but not with God; for all things are possible with God." Nothing is too hard for GOD! People have limitations. Doctors and surgeons have their limits. Many are incurable in the eyes of man, their case is terminal. With people it is impossible, BUT NOT WITH GOD! Jesus also says that, "Anything is possible if a person believes." Notice the condition? Jesus says that anything is possible IF a person believes. Do you believe?
Do you believe that Jesus will heal your case? What will HE heal? We see in our text that people were brought to HIM who were lame. These people were crippled, they could not walk. Did you know that Jesus can heal you even if you haven't taken a step in years! Perhaps you can walk, but only with the aid of crutches, or a walker. Do you believe that Jesus can heal you? Yes, HE can! There were those who were blind. The deaf were brought to the Master. The maimed were brought for healing! The Dictionary defines maimed as "To injure, disable, or disfigure, usually by depriving of the use of a limb or other part of the body". Think of it! People were brought to Jesus who were disabled, disfigured, deprived of the use of arms and legs, severely injured. The results were the same for all of them, Jesus healed them all!
Notice the fact that it wasn't any harder for Jesus to heal a cripple than it was for HIM to heal a blind man. It was no more difficult for the LORD to heal one who had been maimed than it was for HIM to bring deliverance to the deaf. Jesus healed everyone on equal grounds. There were no "hard cases" for HIM. HE is the same today. HE can heal cancer in your body as easily as HE could heal a toothache. HE can bring life back in to those old paralyzed legs as easily as HE could bring hearing into a deaf ear. To HIM there is no difference. Don't try to focus your faith on your healing per se. Place your faith exclusively in HE Who is able to heal you regardless of what ails you, abd you will be delivered!
